University of Warwick

20th October 2022

The University of Warwick is committed to meeting the global energy challenge through both reducing the energy needs of campus and also developing world-leading energy research.

The University Estates Office who are constantly working to make the campus greener by cutting carbon emissions and making it a more environmentally sound place, employed Durotan to extend the buried heating distribution pipe network. The system of pre-insulated steel pipe and boosted cold MDPE water mains were extended to serve the new Sherbourne Residences.

Durotan carried out the supply and installation of the pipework plus the excavation and reinstatement of trenches through roads and grassed areas. The work was carried out quickly and safely during a term period without disruption to students or the running of the university.
