The University of Warwick is committed to meeting the global energy challenge through both reducing the energy needs of campus and also developing world-leading energy research.
The University Estates Office who are constantly working to make the campus greener by cutting carbon emissions and making it a more environmentally sound place, employed Durotan to extend the buried heating distribution pipe network. The pre-insulated steel pipe system and boosted cold MDPE water mains were extended to serve the new Sherbourne Residences.
Durotan carried out the supply and installation of the pre-insulated pipework plus the excavation and reinstatement of trenches through roads and grassed areas. The work was carried out quickly and safely during a term period without disruption to students or the running of the university.
